Arts Education Programs

RBTL believes that arts and performance are among the most eloquent means of understanding and appreciating the human spirit, and therefore must be an essential part of every child’s education. Arts and performance education teaches discipline, inspires creativity, and helps young people set and reach goals. RBTL is committed to an education both in and out of the classroom that engages and encourages children and their families to explore, experience, participate in, and enjoy the richness of the arts as an essential element of the human experience.

The Rochester Broadway Theatre League has developed several nationally recognized and award-winning arts education programs for students in the Greater Rochester area. Each year, RBTL identifies themes and programs pertinent to the youth of today, centered around the season’s touring Broadway shows, and develops lessons and materials for teachers, as well as programs for students of all ages. As a 501(c)(3) organization, RBTL relies on in-kind donations and support from our community to continue to offer arts education. Thousands of students from Monroe and surrounding counties find their niche in RBTL’s arts education programs each year, which bring theatre to students and students to the Theatre. RBTL continually strives to find outlets for students’ creativity, talents, and interests to shine and be explored both in the classroom and on the stage.
