About RBTL
Rochester Broadway Theatre League
The Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s (RBTL’s) mission is to provide opportunities for all people to experience, understand and enjoy the best in arts and performance.
Our History & Home
Founded in 1957 as an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization, and still a registered 501(c)3, RBTL has grown into Rochester’s premier venue-management and service organization for the performing arts and live entertainment. RBTL owns and operates the West Herr Performing Arts Center and Auditorium Theatre, located at the corner of East Main Street and Prince Street. The West Herr Auditorium Theatre, which seats 2,464, is home to a full season of touring Broadway shows (the M&T Bank Broadway Season), and hosts a number of live concerts, comedy, drama, community, and family events each year. The West Herr Performing Arts Center houses several historic spaces (originally ceremonial meeting rooms), which are undergoing revitalization to offer a multi-stage multi-capacity venue for our community arts entities.

A Living Landmark
Historic Charm. Modern Stage.
Every performance is framed by nearly a century of history. This Art Deco masterpiece has evolved from a grand Masonic Temple into Rochester’s premier destination for world-class entertainment.

Beyond the Stage
RBTL offers an array of education and engagement opportunities to expose area youth to the arts, enhance quality of life and strengthen our community. In addition to presenting the best in live entertainment and enrichment programming, RBTL provides ticketing, marketing, and production services for area events and organizations. As a leader in presenting and production, the Rochester Broadway Theatre League is a catalyst for substantial local economic impact each year.
