Designed to incorporate the performing arts into school curriculum for the sake of enhancing students' education, exposing them to the performing arts and developing future theatre audiences, Theatre Team allows students the opportunity to experience the theatre and the lessons it can teach youth about history, other cultures, class struggles and personal challenges. In addition, combining the performing arts with academic challenges inspires youth to learn and experience education in ways that can be enjoyable and challenging.
This year East High, Edison Tech, Freddie Thomas, Jefferson, Marshall and the School of the Arts will be attending the performance of Color Purple.
